Jens Lehmann believes his former club Arsenal can complete a stunning double this season by winning both the Premier League AND the Champions League.
The Gunners’ superb recent run came crashing down at Everton last week, although Arsene Wenger’s side remain third in the top-flight.
French boss Wenger will hope to close the gap on leaders Chelsea with a result at Manchester City on Sunday, while the club also have European commitments to look forward to in February.
Arsenal will face Bayern Munich for the fifth time in the last six years in the Champions League last 16, and Lehmann believes his former side can go all the way.
The 47-year-old told Sportskeeda: ‘[Arsenal] are doing great as of now in both competitions, and can win them.’
The former Germany goalkeeper also revealed his relationship with Wenger, who he spent five years working with in north London, was a productive one.
‘[It was] good, he got the best out of me,’ Lehmann added. ‘The very best after he had rested me for 10 games.’
