Arsenal And Juventus To Go Head To Head For French Midfielder – Reports

Arsenal and Italian champions Juventus are said to be monitoring Lyon’s midfeidler Clément Grenier after both failed in their attempt to sign the high rated youngster in the last transfer window. Both Juventus and Arsenal were said to be interested in signing Grenier in the last window but both failed to complete the deal as both were scared off by Lyon’s 8 million Euros asking price before the player agreed terms on a new contract with Lyon.

An Italian blog TuttoMercatoWeb who is usually reliable when it comes to Juventus related news are now reporting Juventus will be attempting to sign the player even though he only in July signed a new contract with Lyon but they have competition for the player’s situation in Arsene Wenger who is a long term admirer of the player.

Wenger had wanted to sign the player as replacement for Arshavin in the last window after he himself confessed he has been monitoring the progress of the player for several years but nothing materialized from the rumours.
