ARSENAL are looking for a replacement for the injured Hector Bellerin this month, and have turned their attention to the Eredivise.
That is according to Spanish journalist and transfer expert Kike Marin.
Full-back Bellerin is facing nine months on the sidelines after he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the 2-0 win over Chelsea last weekend.
The Spaniard was starting his first game back after a month-long spell in the treatment room with a calf strain.
And the Gunners right-back spot is again in contention, with Bellerin now out until well into next season.
Emery has previously hinted that he will not delve into the transfer market to fix the issue.
“We have Ainsley (Maitland-Niles),” he said.
“He is playing with good pieces, today also he played well I think.
“He can help us by playing like a right back or a right winger.
And also, [Stephan] Lichtsteiner is another player for playing there and I think we have players.”
However, Marin claims that Gunners bosses ARE weighing up bringing in reinforcements at the back, revealing they were sniffing around the Eredivise.
Translated from Spanish, he tweeted: “The Arsenal looks for a possible substitute for Hector Bellerin and is looking at the Eredivise market.”
Arsenal fans have responded to the Marin’s tweet with their predictions at who Emery could bring in.
Some were calling on the Gunners to sign PSV ace Denzel Dumfries.
“@Arsenal FFS Bring Denzel Dumfries lads,” one wrote.
Another simply responded: “Dumfries??
While another suggested young Ajax star Noussair Mazraoui, replying: “Mazraoui?”
