After the signing of Granit Xhaka from Borrusia Monchengladbach, Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers and Takuma Asano from Japan, Arsenal are yet undone in the transfer market and are currently on the chase of an attacker.
Olympique Lyonnais star Alexander Lacazette has been identified as Arsenal’s main target at the moment following the failure to sign either Jamie Vardy or Gonzalo Higuain.
Reports emerged yesterday that Olympique Lyonaise had rebuffed Arsenal bid for the aforementioned player and told the London club that they are unwilling to sell regardless of the amount offered.
Nonetheless, Arsenal are undaunted by the statement of Lyon and have upped their bid for the goal poacher. A respected French journalist is now claiming that Arsenal are set to meet Lyon’s asking price and come to an agreement over the transfer of the 25-year-old – the price stated is said to be $44.2 million (€40 million) .
According to the report, Arsenal will persist as Wenger seem to fancy the French goal scorer.
