Highly respected Madrid based newspaper Marca, are reporting that Arsenal has agreed a loan deal with Olympiacos for their Costa Rican centre Forward Joel Campbell. Campbell spent the last year on loan at Real Betis and although Betis wanted him to stay for one more year, the financial crisis they find themselves mean Arsenal had to sought for alternative solution in Greek champions, Olympiacos.
The Forward who signed a 5 year deal with Arsenal in 2011 has previously spent a year on loan at French Ligue one side Lorient before been sent to Spain to a he was not able to acquire work permit that would have allowed him stay in England. The good news however is, with Olympiacos, the North American would be able to play among the big boys in the champions league as the Greek champions will be playing in the money spilling competition this season.
Under the terms of the loan deal, Olympiacos will have the opportunity of signing Campbell on a permanent basis should they decide they want to and Arsenal decides to sell.
