Emery Unai will be allowed to bring in four new senior coaches as part of the agreements he reached with Arsenal before taking over as manager, according to reports on the Daily Star.
The Gunners announced the appointment of the 46-year-old Spaniard as their new manager on Wednesday. He was signed on a three-year deal, as they look to turn around the fortunes of the club after a disappointing 2017/2018 campaign.
Emery has agreed to work under the club’s new recruitment system where he will have very little say in bringing players in. but he has been given the freedom to select his own backroom staff, and is now expected to bring four of his former PSG staff with him.
He is expected to bring in Juan Carlos Carcedo (Assistant coach), Pablo Villanueva (Technical coach), Julen Masach (Fitness coach), Victor Manas (Video analyst).
This will add to a dramatic backroom staff overhaul that has happened at the club over the past 12 months. However, Emery will speak to Steve Bould to discuss whether he wants to stay at the club, while Jens Lehmann is expected to be retained as the goalkeeping coach.
