Arsenal are weighing up a move for highly rated Borussia Monchengladbach winger, Patrick Hermann, according to the Metro. The 22 year old German has impressed in his three years so far at the Bundesliga outfit and has been linked with Barcelona in the past.
Arsenal are building a German core in London and a move for yet another one isn’t out of reach. However, Gladbach recently tied the talented wideman to a new three year deal, and would look to keep the versatile forward for as long as they can.
A decent bid of around £10m could force the German side to consider selling Hermann but suitors might have to wait till next summer to put in concrete offers for the pacy right-sided player, as Gladbach would look to keep him in January to boost their chances of securing a continental spot at the end of the season.
The Gunners already look well stocked on the wings, but it has often been reported that the club are still searching for a natural winger, with players like Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla and Oxlade Chamberlain not seen by many as genuine widemen.
Hermann has made 10 appearances in all competitions for Gladbach this term, scoring once and assisting twice.
