Shortly, the January transfer window will be halted but we cannot rule out the possibility of surprises before the official closure.
ARSENE WENGER has confirmed defender Carl Jenkinson will join Crystal Palace in the next two or three days.
The right-back has been linked with a move away from the Emirates, with Crystal Palace rumoured to be interested.
And Arsenal boss Wenger, speaking at his press conference ahead of the Gunners’ clash with Swansea, has confirmed the deal is close.
When asked if Jenkinson will leave, Wenger said: “He’ll go in the next two or three days.”
The Frenchman was then quizzed if Palace would be his destination, to which he replied: “You look well informed.”
Jenkinson, 24, is well down the pecking order for a starting sport in Arsenal’s first-team.
He has spent the past two seasons on loan at West Ham but stayed at Arsenal for the first part of this campaign as he recovered from injury.
The defender returned to the starting line-up in late October but failed to impress at the Emirates.
