Levante are the latest club to show an interest in Lucas Perez, with the Spanish side set to make an offer to Arsenal to loan the player for the 2017-18 season.

It’s reported that they’ll pay the Gunners a potential fee of €3m (€1m loan fee + €2m if they avoid relegation), as well as paying 100% of his wages for the season.

The Valencia based club are set to start their new campaign without forward Roger Marti who scored 22 goals in the promotion winning season from La Liga 2 last year. He’s suffered an injury that will keep him out of action until the new year, and they desperately need firepower.

However, with Arsenal holding out for a sale it seems like this is one is something of a long shot.

Earlier this week, reports that Perez was on the brink of a €14m move back to Deportivo did the rounds, but as we reported the two clubs are some way apart with the Gunners understandably unwilling to do the Spanish side any financial favours.

Sevilla and Malaga are also interested, and time is running out with the window closing next week.
