Arsenal and Manchester United took their rivalry off the pitch and onto the transfer market.
According to emerging reports, Arsenal and Manchester United target Goncalo Guesdes has said to his goodbyes to his club after sealing a deal away from the club.
The Portugal international was believed to have held talks with United officials, although Jose Mourinho’s side are not the only club interested in signing the 20-year-old winger.
The report claimed that the youngster was left out of Benfica’s squad last weekend as he was negotiating terms with his new club.
It was claimed, however, that Guedes would be in attendance at the ground in order to bid his farewells to team-mates and fans alike.
And it seems he will not be a Benfica player come the end of the January transfer window.
Should this report be true, Arsenal would have missed out on one of the most rated youngsters in Europe. You may argue that we have good wingers but Guedes is certainly a player for the future.
