Inter Milan are set to demand over £62 million for Arsenal defensive target Milan Skriniar in the Summer, according to Football London.
If the fee isn’t enough, Arsenal will have tough competition for his signature. Spanish giants Barcelona and league leaders Manchester City are also interested in the Slovakian.
Skriniar only signed for Inter in the Summer, joining from fellow Serie A side Sampdoria. The 23-year-old has made 25 appearances in all competitions for Inter, helping them rise to third in the league as they seek to return to European football.
It has also been revealed that Arsenal had a £12m deadline day bid for Jonny Evans rejected by West Brom.
Manager Alan Pardew said in his press conference that the Northern Irish international was never for sale on deadline day.
“I’ve sat here every week saying don’t make a bid on the last day, because you’re not going to get what you want, really.”
“Unless it’s a bid that’s going to knock us off our chair, and it was no way near that. So they got probably the response they were expecting with that bid, I think.”
