The agent of one of Arsenal’s transfer targets has revealed that the Gunners have indeed held talks over a possible transfer move.
Arsenal’s appointment of Unai Emery means there will be a number of important changes made to the squad during this summer transfer window.
That has seen Freiburg centre-back Caglar Soyuncu, who is valued at £16.2m, continue to be linked with move to the Emirates stadium this summer.
According to the 22-year-old’s agent, Mustafa Dogru, the Gunners’ head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has actually held talks with Dortmund over a possible move for Soyuncu.
“Sven Mislintat has been keen on Caglar since he was at Borussia Dortmund,” Dogru said.
“He first scouted him back in Germany.
“Sven is interested in Caglar, there are concrete talks, all that remains is for a fee to be agreed.
“We will see what happens next.”
After the arrival of Stephan Lichtsteiner this week, the Gunners are believed to be eying more deals before the start of next season.
