Manchester United and Arsenal have joined the race to sign Ante Rebic, who could leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.
Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic says they are yet to field an offer for the Croatia forward, but admitted they will struggle to hold on to the 24-year-old if a big-money offer arrives at their table.
German publication Bild last month claimed that Spurs were keen to take the player to north London and that his Bundesliga club were ready to sell for £26.3m.
Now the same outlet claim Arsenal and Man Utd are circling the player who has impressed in Croatia’s run to the World Cup semi-finals.
Although Rebic has three years on his contract with Frankfurt, Bobic is well aware their star man could depart.
“I am very happy about the success of Ante Rebic with the Croatian national team,” Bobic told Sport1. “The players and the coaching team are watching the World Cup games together in the training camp in the USA and, of course, are especially excited about Ante.
“So far, there are no offers available and we’re planning a steady season with Ante Rebic for the new season.
“Of course we know that a lot can happen when a big club makes an offer.
“We cannot compete economically with the big ones, but that’s nothing new.”
