Chelsea are looking to hijack Arsenal’s negotiations for CSKA Moscow striker Aleksandr Golovin next summer with reports from Russia stating the Blues are interested in the forward.
The 21-year old has been one of Russia’s biggest talents since the likes of Andrey Arshavin and is the country’s biggest hope going into the summer’s World Cup. The forward has been reluctant to move for this reason, as he wants to remain the poster boy for the Scandinavian country as they play hosts to the world.
Arsene Wenger however, will not relent in his attempts to sign the player he believes will augment the efforts of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil at the Emirates.
However, Sport 24 in Russia, rehashed by Football London, says the Blues are prepared to sign Golovin next summer with the move sanctioned by owner Roman Abramovich, but the player may have to contend with playing at Vitesse Arnhem for a while before joining Chelsea’s first team.
