The representative of Arsenal striker Lucas Perez hopes his client can complete a return to Deportivo La Coruna this summer.
Perez joined the Gunners from Depor last summer for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £17m.
However, it didn’t turn out to be a dream move despite Perez being given the No.9 jersey, which has since gone to new arrival Alexandre Lacazette.
This reportedly upset Perez and his agent, Fernandez Lovelle, has stated his former club want a reunion, which he is hopeful of coming to fruition despite Rafa Benitez having confirmed Newcastle United are interested in a deal.
“I think the £10.9 million that Deportivo La Coruna have offered Arsenal is a great deal. Deportivo received £12.7m when they sold him to them last summer,” he told Sky Sports.
“They are giving everything to make this transfer possible. Lucas wants to play but he has a contract with Arsenal. I am hopeful an agreement can be reached.”
Perez initially joined Arsenal having scored 52 competitive goals across four different clubs in a seven-year period.
While representing Depor he managed 24 goals in 59 matches whist creating a further 14.
Perez was their leading scorer during the 2015/16 season in La Liga with 17 goals in 35 matches and was compared, favourably, with Jamie Vardy, as both share similar attributes.
Since relocating to north London, Perez would feature 21 times under Arsene Wenger, over a period of time in which he registered seven goals (one every 135 minutes) and five assists.
