Again – Rio Ferdinand’s Shocking Reaction To Giroud’s Brace

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has hailed Arsenal 4-1  victory over Sunderland yesterday.

Arsenal returned to winning ways at the Stadium of light after drawing newly promoted side Middlesbrough last weekend at the Emirates.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain was handed another start following an injury to Theo Walcott and the decision clearly went well for the Gunners.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s cross found Alexis Sanchez and the Arsenal forward guided a header into the Sunderland net to score his fifth Premier League goal of the 2016-17 season.

Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand lavished praise on Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sanchez for their respective roles in Arsenal’s superb opening goal at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland levelled in the second half after Jermain Defoe beat Petr Cech from the penalty spot.

However, Arsenal substitute Olivier Giroud restored the north London side’s lead with his first touch before a 75th-minute header sealed three points.

And Ferdinand hailed Wenger’s substitute following Arsenal’s 4-1 win.

Sanchez scored his second of the game to put the Premier League clash beyond doubt.

The Gunners will host Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby in their next Premier League game.
