This week, the Premiere League will come alive again and our weekends will sure be filled with glamours – no more bordom, Arguments and excitements as we’ll all sit amid our rival folks to see clubs lock horns with one another for a medal and a Cup.
After Loosing the premier League to Leicester City last season, especially on the backdrop of injuries, you would expect Wenger to be more pragmatic in his transfer window dealings. However, we are yet to see another player added to the rank of the team despite the obvious need for signings.
Reports emanated last week that Julian Draxler was in the want of a move and Arsenal were thought to be his most-likely destination. However, Wolfsburg dismissed the possibility of the player moving but they have revealed that he does have a release club. This means, he would be allowed to move if any club meets his valuation.
Speaking to the Press, Wolfsburg’s sporting director, Klaus Allofs, called on fans not to brand Draxler a mercenary while confirming that the clause comes into play next summer and that’s something he will have to ‘deal with.’
“His idea is of a move to the Championship [Premier League] in which he has received a lot of praise, and a forthcoming season without international [European] competition is understandable,” Allofs said.
“I think he has just chosen the wrong path in this case. But he’s still a young player, I do not ask him to be maligned.”
Even before this summer, Arsenal have always been heavily linked with a move for the player as Wenger is an admirer of the player. However, a deal will not be easy, as Wolfsburg have insisted that Draxler is going nowhere, although he does have a release clause of €75million (£63m).
