5 Players That Could Sign For Arsenal On Transfer Deadline Day

With The transfer window closing by Monday September 2nd, Wenger is reportedly growing very desperate and rightly so if you consider the fact that the gunners are yet to make any money move in the transfer market so far. Arsenal have signed 2 players so far, both are however joining the club on free transfers. Unattached Flamini is rejoining Arsenal on a free transfer after leaving them for Milan 4 years old. The other player Yaya Sanogo is joining on a free transfer from Auxerre a club in the second division of the French ligue.

However, knowing Wenger, there is a good chance of he pulling off some magic in the transfer magic even with less than 72 hours to go. Below are 5 players I think Arsenal still have a chance of signing before the transfer window closes.

Di Maria : This transfer seems odd on to happen before the window closes if you ask me. I understand the fact that the player has come out to say he wants to stay at Real Madrid but I also know Hunterlaar, Van Dar Vaart, Sneijder among others all told the world they wanted to stay at Real Madrid but all ended up been forced out. Bottom line is, Real Madrid will always have their way if they want to sell certain players. With Skysports quoting Daniel Levy as saying he is holding up the Gareth Bale to Real Madrid deal, it will not be out of place to assume the signing of Di Maria by Arsenal has not been concluded cos of the hold up in the Bale to Real Madrid deal. I will rate this one 8/10 to go through.

Julian Draxler is another player Arsenal may sign before the transfer window closes on Monday. Earlier today, a German journalist, Jan Aage Fjortoft who is very reliable when it comes to players in the German league told the world via twitter of Arsenal’s interest in the Schalke 04 player. It is been reported that Arsenal are trying to sign the player for 30 million plus Podolski. It remains to be seen if Schalke will be willing to let go the player but they may be tempted by Arsenal’s million. 7/10.

Emiliano Viviano : Arsenal are in the market for a new keeper and if reports from Italy are the be believed, Emiliano Viviano will be the said keeper. The player is available for around 8 million pounds according to the Italian press. 8/10.

Suarez : This deal seems dead but if you judge by Liverpool’s past ( Fernando Torres ), you should never say never especially if the reports that Arsenal are still willing to go back for him are true. I am of the believe that a bid of 50 million pounds will convince Liverpool to sell. Although Wenger will be adamant to pay such an amount, you should never say never especially as all media outlets are now reporting he is been put under massive pressure to conclude a marquee deal for the gunners. 6/10.

Joshua Guilavogui : Reports in France are claiming Arsenal are trying to let Saint Etienne sign Young Park with Saint Etienne’s Joshua Guilavogui coming to Arsenal with Arsenal adding 8 million pounds on top. With the number of contacts Wenger has in France, this should be a straight forward deal if Arsenal are actually interested. Chances of it happening 8/10.

Other players that are likely to join is Real Madrid’s Mesut Ozil, Kaka and Newcastle United’s Yohan Cabaye
