Today’s match day 1 in the Premier League for Arsenal but whatever the result today against Liverpool, we’ll have 37 games left to do better than today.
The League Defending Champions Leicester City tasted defeat against Hull City but Manchester City bettered Sunderland and you would say they are title contender given the antecedent of the coach and the calibre of players bought.
Although, we have been relatively inactive in the transfer market but the injuries to Liverpool means we should be able to match them player for player. The Merseyside club have up to six players sidelined with injuries.
For Arsenal, Koscielny isn’t fit for the game and was ruled out by Wenger who doesn’t want to rush the player into action. We may see Holding and Chambers thrown into action at the heart of defense. We have quality midfielders within our rank and who ever is played should be able to provide cover for the defense.
Ozil is short of fitness and i’m sure he will be sidelined for the game today.
Giroud is also short of fitness but might be on the bench. The most probable striker for the game would be Walcott or Sanchez. With adequate supply of passes from the midfield, the defense of Liverpool will be engaged.
This is how i think Arsenal will line up
