4-3-3 Formation Released: Giroud & Perez Starts, Coquelin Dropped In Arsenal Probable Line-Up Vs PSG

The Champions League kicks off this week and Arsenal have been tipped as favourite for  group A despite having Paris Saint Germain in the same group.

For the first time, we have a very large squad that has left Arsene Wenger with a selection problem but it is a good problem. There are at least two players in every position of our squad.

Alex Iwobi returned  to the team last weekend after being sidelined because of a thigh injury he picked up in our Premier League opener. He’s now been joined by Aaron Ramsey who was spotted in training ahead of our clash with Paris Saint Germain.

We expect that Wenger will tweak the team a bit by dropping some of the players that started the game against Southampton. Nonetheless, Wenger will be looking to pick the best team and get the best out of his players.

This is how we think Arsenal will line-up

Although, he has conceded two goals from set pieces, Petr Cech the indisputable first choice. Last season, Wenger chose David Ospina in our Champions League opener but we paid dearly for it and he must have learnt his lesson.

This is an area without any selection problem for the now. Wenger will retain the same back four that starred against the Saints. Shkodran Mustafi made his debut but we cannot judge his defensive prowess yet. However, we will sure see his partnership with Koscielny for a long time.

We saw a disjointed midfield against Southampton. Coquelin has been doing greatly but his undoing is that he plays like the creative hub of midfield and goes too further into the opponents half. When you watch Xhaka, he hardly does that which makes him a better partner to Saint Cazorla. Xhaka will sure start today’s game.

Ozil’s importance to our style cannot be over emphasised. I will retain his place behind the striker.

Alexis Sanchez will be thrown straight into the left wing, his understanding with Ozil will pay off for us today. Giroud has not started any game for Arsenal this season but when he got into last weekend’s game, it was apparent that he understands how we play and we need his presence in the attack. Perez is not strong and we can move him to the wing since Iwobi is short a games.

Starting XI: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Xhaka, Cazorla, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud and Perez.
