4-2-1-3 Formation: Xhaka & Coquelin Selected, Walcott Bench In Arsenal Probable Line-Up Vs Chelsea

We have seen almost all the first team players of Arsenal played this season. To a reasonable extent, the first eleven for Arsenal picks itself. However, we are certain to see the team tweaked based on the opponent they will play. That is what you get when you have a large squad to select from.

There is currently competition in all the areas of the pitch for Arsenal – to be able to get the better of any opponent; the midfield must be cohesive. We must retain the ideology of a fluid game hinged on ball retention and positional discipline.

From the defense, there’s currently no selection headache even though the back four that thumped Nottingham Forest last night did it without conceding any goal. Knowing who Arsene Wenger is, Petr Cech is now Arsenal’s Premier League goalkeeper and he will surely play in-between the sticks against his former club.

Mustafi’s performance in his debut for Arsenal stirred criticism from fans and pundits but he gave them a lot to ponder about with his impressive cameo against Hull City last weekend. The understanding between him and Koscielny is getting better and I’m just positive about him – don’t forget that he wasn’t part of our pre-season.

New boy Granit Xhaka has only but helped to increase the selection headache for Arsene Wenger. The 24-year-old showed class yesterday too. You realize that he is a more complete player than Coquelin. Xhaka maintains his DM position, a tough tackler, a fantastic passer of the ball and very perfect with his powerful shot. But for Chelsea, Xhaka and Coquelin will do well for us in midfield with Cazorla playing as the schemer in their front while Xhaka is allowed a bit of freedom to roam the length and breadth of the pitch.

Although, Walcott scored a great goal last weekend, he was more wasteful. I’d fancy to see Ozil moved to the right or left wing, and flanked by the powerful and impressive #big17 Iwobi. The way Coquelin operates in midfield, he does nit allow Ozil the freedom to play because Coquelin sometimes end up in his position.

Sanchez has four League goals already. Should be the striker for us and I am sure we will do well.

Arsenal XI Vs Chelsea: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Xhaka, Cazorla, Ozil, Iwobi & Sanchez.
