Arsenal will listen to offers for Chile international Alexis Sanchez next month amid growing concerns over the former Barcelona star commitment from players and staff.
Having turned down a huge £60million from Manchester City in the summer; Arsenal are not ruling out selling the Chilean when the transfer window reopens in January.
Arsenal know they are highly unlikely to receive offers near Man City’s bid but are still ready to cash in on him to avoid losing him for nothing at the end of the season.
The Daily Mail claimed bids in-excess of £35million would tempt the North London club into selling the forward this January.
It remains to be seen whether the 29-year-old will consider leaving the Emirates mid-season, with sources claiming Sanchez has his heart set on joining former boss Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
But with Guardiola’s side set to shelve their interest in the £140,000-a-week star until he becomes available on a free transfer at the end of the season, the ex-Barcelona star may refuse to leave the club next month.
Reports claimed members of the backroom team have noticed a drop in the Chilean’s work rate in training and matches. Similarly, Sanchez’s team-mates are believed to be growing increasingly frustrated at his demeanour and application, with many believing he should have been sold in the summer.
The report add there was particular irritation from players towards him following Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at Southampton on December 10.
