We are yet months away from the January transfer window but Arsenal are featuring prominently in the media wave per the transfers of players.
Reports have emerged that Barcelona are keeping tabs on Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin as they look to sign him up in January.
It is believed that Arsenal will not allow the player leave sooner but Spanish outlet Don Balon is in the claim that Wenger has informed the Catalan club that £40m will see the deal done.
Yesterday Sport reported that the Catalan giants were expecting to pay just over £30m for their former youth player.
According to the report, Barcelona have already informed Bellerin that they want him back at Camp Nou in January. The 21-year-old left Barcelona La Masia Academy in 2011.
And their vice president Jordi Mestre has lavished the 21-year-old with praise before making it clear he wants Bellerin back at the Nou Camp.
He said: “He’s a great player, there’s no doubt about that.
“Wenger convinced him to move [in 2011] and promised him something which we couldn’t. We could not promise him that within two years he would be playing in Dani Alves’ place.
“In many cases it’s good that they leave to develop as players and then return [with that experience].
“Look at the cases of Cesc [Fabregas], [Gerard] Pique, [Jordi] Alba and Denis Suarez… I hope the same thing will happen with [Sergi] Samper, too.”
Bellerin is current a core player in Arsene Wenger’s team and I doubt that the player will be allowed to leave.
