Arsenal have agreed terms with former PSG midfielder Yacine Adli on a 3-year-deal, according to reports in RMC Sport.
Unai Emery seems to be hell-bent on getting his targets on board before the start of the FIFA World cup and the signings of Adli and Lichtsteiner point to the same.
Although nothing is official yet, all indications are that Emery has succeeded in convincing the young 17-year-old to make the switch to the North London club. The Gunners will pay PSG a compensation fee of about £223,000.
Adli is a highly rated product from PSG’s youth set-up and is considered one of the best young players to come out of France in recent years and surprisingly he was given his first-team debut by Emery when he was the head coach of the French club.
The announcement on the transfer is expected next month when the youngster turns 18. The attacking midfielder who can also play centrally appeared in 23 matches for the French youth teams and scored 13 goals.
The signing of the talented French man appears to be one for the future as the Gunners go about restructuring and rebuilding a team that can compete for top honors.
Adli rejected the contract offer from PSG due to concerns over first-team opportunities. How many guaranteed game opportunities he will get in North London is unclear at the moment due to the number of midfield options Emery has in the team.
Being that as it may, the club are getting a highly rated future prospect for a cheap fee that could yet prove to be a masterstroke.
More information will come to light in the coming days as we look forward to a summer filled with transfer activities. Some more signings are expected in the coming days and trust us to keep you informed about all the happenings.
