Arsenal are said to be looking for a creative midfielder who will be a second choice behind Mesut Ozil and can play in a number of other position. Arsene Wenger and his management team are said to have opened talks with West Ham in regards to the possible signing for Dimitri Payet.
Payet who missed three months of last season due to an injury still managed to score 12 goals and created 14 assists. The second behind Mesut Ozil who played the whole season without injury.
Whenever Ozil is playing, Arsenal create goal scoring chances upon chances ( the bulk of them wasted by Giroud and Walcott ) and when he is not playing, the team struggle to create anything tangible. For this reason, Wenger is said to be working to bring in another create midfielder and this is despite having the likes of Cazorla, Wilshere, Iwobi and Ramsey who can all play the 10 role.
The reports claim Arsenal want to buy the player outright but could be forced to include Theo Walcott in the deal as West Ham themselves have been linked with the signing of the Englishman.
