Arsene Wenger will be presented with another opportunity in the January transfer window to strengthen his team.
According to reports, Arsenal long-term transfer target Julian Draxler is on the verge of leaving Wolfsburg after the German club reportedly lowered their asking price for the player to £25million.
During the summer, Draxler asked to leave Wolfsburg for a bigger challenge but Wenger failed to make any offers for him.
According to latest reports in Le Parisien, the Bundesliga giants have slashed their asking price for the 23-year-old from £63million to just £25million as they look to get him off their books after a recent slump in form.
However, Arsenal are not the only club in the chase of the player, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain are understood to be keenly interested, so it remains to be seen if Arsenal will yet lure the Germany international.
Arsene Wenger has long looked in need of attacking reinforcements, but will have been pleasantly surprised by the form of players such as Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this season.
