ARSENAL defender Mathieu Debuchy has been offered a £2.3m-a-season contract by Besiktas, according to reports.
Debuchy, 32, has been surplus to requirements at Arsenal ever since Hector Bellerin came to prominence.
He made just one Premier League appearance for the Gunners last season and spent most of his time playing for the reserves.
Injuries have also scuppered his progress at the Emirates, but his time at the club appears to be coming to an end.
Arsenal are said to be willing to listen to offers for the France international as Wenger wants to get him off his books.
Nice were apparently close to signing the former Newcastle man with a medical set, but the move failed to materialise.
Marseille have since expressed an interest in the defender as they look to bolster their ranks.
But Turkish outlet Takvim claim Besiktas have now entered the race for his signature.
It is said the Turkish champions have offered Debuchy a £2.3m-a-season contract after including him on their shortlist of right-backs they are keen to sign.
The report adds Hamburg’s Gotoku Sakai is also on the list.
Debuchy has two years remaining on his contract at Arsenal and is likely to be one of several first team players to leave the club this summer.
Lucas Perez, Kieran Gibbs and Carl Jenkinson also look set to be offloaded with a host of clubs expressing an interest.
