In less than a week, we’ll be done with all the hassles and hostility of the media wave per football transfer and focus fully on the game itself.
According to reports, Arsenal defender Calum Chambers has been made available for a loan move, following the imminent arrival of Germany international Shkodran Mustafi.
Arsenal agreed to pay the 35million Pounds valuation of Mustafi, which mean Chambers will fall further down the selection perking order of Arsenal behind new boy Rob Holding.
With Mustafi already in London for Arsenal medical, there is no chance for Chambers at all.
‘Future, no,’ said Wenger when asked if a centre-back’s arrival could affect the England under-21s international.
‘The fact that he could go out on loan somewhere and play, yes.’
The 21-year-old is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs: West Bromwich, Hull, Stoke and Sunderland among the sides interested.
But it remains to be seen whether the Gunners would reject an offer close to the £16million they paid Southampton for Chambers in 2014.
