Arsenal have joined the race to sign out of favour Paris Saint Germain left back Layvin Kurzawa, according to the Metro.
The former AS Monaco man has been on the fringe in recent times after starting the season as first choice, he has struggled for game-time recently with Yuri Berchiche taking his place.
He was left on the bench for the entirety of PSG’s 2-0 victory over Les Herbiers in the French Cup final, and is expected to leave in the summer.
“I know what I can do, and don’t think I have performed to the best of my ability this season. It is a problem for me,” he said recently.
“I have never been satisfied with my displays this year, and I have felt annoyed when I have gone home after games.”
He might decide a move elsewhere will resurrect his form, and he is not short of admirers as Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are all interested in his services.
The Gunners signed Sead Kolasinac from Schalke last summer on a free transfer, and after initially impressing has failed to convince since Wenger abandoned the 3-4-3 wing-back formation.
Nacho Monreal who turned 32 earlier this year has regained his first choice position, but has a year left on his deal after this season with rumors that he might be considering moving back to Spain for the final years of his career, and the Gunners now see Kurzawa as a long term option.
Manchester United are in need of a left back as they prepare to axe Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian in the summer.
Chelsea earlier made a move for Kurzawa in January, but signed Emerson Plamieri instead, however the Brazilian has only appeared twice for the Blues in the Premier League since his move.
