The reports have started coming thick about Arsenal’s probable transfers and we are yet linked with Roma star Kostas Manolas.
Kostas Manolas was reportedly on our transfer radar in the summer but we were not able to complete any deal for him. However, the centre back has refused contract offers from Roma and Arsenal are keen on luring the player to the Emirates.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claim Manolas, who is contracted to the club until 2019, was offered an improved deal worth £2.2million a season but expected a higher salary.
Given the fact that Arsenal signed Mustafi and Holding during the summer, Arsenal are not in need of a centre-back and that’s why we could pass this report as a mere rumours.
However, with the imminent departure of Per Mertesacker will make way for another centre back at Arsenal but a player like Manolas would not want to be a fringe player.
He is worth £35.7m.
